We are Blonde No. 8, a brand that moves with the times without forgetting its roots.

In 2011, Michael Boveleth and Martin Schmelzer founded the label Blonde No. 8 and soon after had their first bestseller with the well-known parka. This was the launch of Blonde No. 8 – to this day, the brand is popular for fashionable jackets and coats. For over 10 years, Michael Boveleth has been responsible for design and sales, and Martin Schmelzer for production. The years of collaboration make our label a well-coordinated team that is constantly growing and open to new developments.

The classic parka can still be found in each of our collections, but it adapts to trends and developments in a constantly changing market. Thus, our brand has undergone a major transformation and has evolved into a jacket specialist. The latest technologies are incorporated into the current collections: reflectors, Teflon, and much more make our jackets a versatile product that meets our customers' wishes both visually and technically.

Outstanding details, such as special inner linings, high-quality zippers, contrasting seams, and elaborate embroideries, make our garments unique. The designs are inspired by international runways and the latest trends, while always remaining true to the values of Blonde No. 8. We attach great importance to traditional manufacturing techniques and fair production conditions. All production facilities are BSCI-certified (Business Social Compliance Initiative), which promises the improvement of social standards throughout the value chain. Sustainability plays a major role for us in all areas. From products to delivery, we strive to find the most sustainable option possible and continuously improve ourselves in this regard.

Meanwhile, in addition to Blonde No. 8, there is also a second successful label that became known for its lightweight down jacket: No. 1 Como. Today, however, this label also offers a wide range of other jackets and coats.
